Mookite Swirl

This pendant is a faceted 32mm teardrop shade Mookite Jasper stone wrapped in gold-filled wire. The rich deep red of the stone and the bright gold have such a warm glow. The multiple loops make a beautiful and open bail while also allowing a delicate chain or a larger chain for hanging the pendant. The overall length is 2" and barely under 1 1/4" at the widest along the bottom.

This pendant is a 35mm Charoite Kiwi Jasper Medallion wrapped in sterling silver.

The spirals, wraps, and curls lend an abstract look to this pendant. The stone has soft variation as a rich deep purple with darker flakes in the stone.

Old Blue Eyes

This Necklace was rather tricky to photograph because of the nature of the labradorite pendant. The pendant has a smokey gray color, but the brilliant blue flash covers the entire front surface. The labradorite was wrapped in sterling silver and hand tarnished for a deep aged appearance. This strung up so smooth and cool with the iolite anchoring it down and the moonstone echoing the blue flash of the pendant. The byzantine chain was hand woven by me as well as hand tarnished. The entire necklace measures 21" long with the pendant at exactly 2 " in length. The thin faceted iolite and slinky bynantine chain keep a delicate feel allowing the pendant to hold the focus, and the flash of the stone pulling the eye in further.

Slick as Honey

Soft honey jade and bright honey quartz bring light and sparkling tones to this necklace and earrings. The sparkling flakes within the Bronzite pendant and coins offer up warmth with their rich variety of deep to golden browns. Top it all off with gold swirls and curves wrapping the 40mm bronzite pendant in contrast to the large flakes and a few tiger's eye with wonderful chatoyance and it is slick as honey. The lovely custom made clasp covered in tiny swirls finishes the look with a gentle touch. The honey jade and gold earrings mirror the curves of the wrapped pendant for a complete look yet still unique enough to wear alone or with other pieces.

Rain Forest Blossom

Light and creamy peaches and yellows bloom in this 30mm papya jade pendant. Various colors sparkle from within the stone that is wrapped in gold and silver wire bringing out both warm and cool tones. The hidden shimmers are echoed throughout the necklace by red agate varying from pale peach to rich reddish orange. Hints of peach also dot the two large rainforest rhyolite that lead into a strand or russian serpentine giving a lush range of green. The wandering vines end with a custom made sterling silver clasp bringing it to an end with a curling grace.

This 40 mm Brazillian Jasper pendant has such an array of beautiful fall earth tones. The streaks and swirls range from rich browns with hints of rustic oranges to deep rust and burgundy. The bright gold wire brings out the yellow and orange undertones to a few lighter highlights within the stone. The gold swirls wrapping around the stone draw attention to the varying curves of color lending such deep colors a soft edge.

Two large turquoise nuggets and a sterling silver fish draw you in. The strands from the fishtail seem to lend the thought of bubbles flowing off it's tail as it swims along (my sisters idea, thanks sis). Cool blues meet warm brown in the clay beads followed by rich golden browns to deep chocolate hidden within the bronzite coins. Join them all on a knotted brown silk cord to softly bring them all together. The top of the stream shimmers as a sterling silver parallel weave chain and a custom made sterling clasp.

This necklace was so interesting to make. It was the first time I had gotten to work chain maille into a piece that I have done. The chain and clasp were made completely from wire, and I am so proud of that. The light colors of the turquoise and silver balance so well with the warmth of the bronzite and silk cord giving it a warm and calming appeal.

This pendant is a large turquoise nugget wrapped in copper coils and woven wire with an antique finish. The turquoise has an array of colors and tones ranging from black inclusions and traditional turquoise blue to very pale blue. The antiqued copper surrounding the stone compliments it with an almost blue tint deep in the coils. Coils intricately wrap around the stone completely enclosing the pendant leaving it at 1 3/4" tall by 1" wide.

This necklace is my first real chain maille work that is all chain maille. Everything in the construction of this necklace is sterling silver. The weave has a lacy floral style that I worked to mimic and keep in the initials by using the swirls and curls while avoiding many straight lines. The letters are 7/8" x 7/8".

This is a new wrapping method that I am working on. The pendant is a wavy cut 40 mm Bronzite pendant. Gold-filled and sterling silver wire wrap the outer edge then curl, ripple, and wave over the stone. Including the bail, the pendant comes out right at 2 1/4" long. The Bronzite has such great shades of brown that even move into gold tones. I realize this picture has a good bit of glare from the wire and even the stone, but I really wanted to show the depth and color variations in the Bronzite. I can't do it justice with a photograph, but you get the idea.I recently learned that Bronzite is said to ward off ill wishes others have for you. Not only that, but it is said to return it three fold to the sender. . . I thought that was fascinating, and know I'm thinking of making LOTS of Bronzite pieces!

My sister and her love of these shades of green inspired this necklace. The necklace is made with Russian jade and picture jasper stone beads and a Russian jade pendant wrapped in sterling silver wire. The dark green working through the stones like a web make me think of the hidden trails I've always loved to wander down. It's so reminiscent of cool moss covered rocks under your feet and the sun barely peaking through the thick treetops.

This necklace waited so patiently for me to finally make it. I wrapped the hematite donut nearly a month ago and sat waiting for the rest to fall into place. Then one day a woman I know that is an amazing jewelry artisan, Szarka, had a sale on some of her things and I went to looking around. That's when I saw the blue opal nuggets and it was lust from there. The rest of the strand is made up of large grey fresh water pearls, potato shaped white fresh water pearls, small dark grey swarovski pearls, and black agate. Looking at this necklace just makes me hear a piano playing in the back of my mind.Perhaps it's the shape of it or flow of black and white like piano keys. Either way, patience pays off well.

This necklace could quickly become mine. It's reddish agate, pink aventurine, lampwork glass beads, and a carnelian nugget as the focal point. I just love the softer shades of orange and red with deep vibrant oranges and muted reds. You can even look at the carnelian nugget and just see the sun setting.

I finally decided to brave making a few rings. This is the first batch. The top left is stabilized turquoise wrapped in sterling silver. Center left is a fire polished green bead with flashes of red, orange, yellow, and gold in sterling silver. Lower left is blue glass and matte finished cut edges in sterling silver. Upper right is a teal crystal in sterling silver. Lower right is a round tiger's eye wrapped in gold-filled wire.

I found these glass beads some time ago and have been thinking of a home for them ever since. Well, I finally found it, wrapped in dual strands of sterling silver wire. I love the colors of the beads because it is such a rich green with transparent parts, swirls of yellow, and tiny hints of red. It reminds me of the meadow behind my house I grew up in with a few bright flowers scattered through it.

These two necklaces were done for my mom and her dear friend. They were both done to match yet be unique to their styles. The amethyst nuggets, amber chips, purple fresh water pearls, and pewter accents were used throughout both necklaces. However, amethyst tubes and a charoite centerpiece wrapped in sterling silver finish of one with great range in purple hues while a wider range of amber colors and a sterling silver wrapped amber centerpiece complete the other.

This was my trial run for a crochet bracelet and earrings. It's the first piece that I have done in the crochet style. I'm very happy with the way it has turned out. There is such a wonderful air of unrefined beauty to this style of jewelry. Granted while this is slightly rougher being a test run, there is still such a diamond in the rough quality to it. It's much like turquoise to me...Beautiful things with a ripple flowing through them, just for you to see the earth that they come from. Next I plan to do some in which the beading is actually encased in the wire work.

My first true cuff style bracelet...and I love it. Yes, I know, I made it so it's only natural for me to love it. Still, I just love the way it catches the light. This is definately an autumn inspired piece, but instead of being typical autumn colors it has browns, rust, peaches, and gold all on brass wire. This is something that I will be coming back to make more with similar looks to them.

Shell Shimmer

This necklace is one that I did with sterling silver wire, fluourite chips, seed beads, and a shell focal point. The picture honestly doesn't do it justice because it catches the light so well. I had to keep the necklace design very simple and clean because the shell has so many flashes of color that I simply couldn't pull attention from it.

This set is my newest piece. The necklace uses various crystals and glass beads along with gold and green dyed pearls. The strand of pearls and two strands of mixed beads and crystals are strung on gold filled wire with 14k gold bead chain finishing it with a delicate touch. The necklace is apprx. 18 inches long, and lays beautifully. The earrings are, of course, hypoallergenic hooks with gold wire and green pearls. The rolling swirls finish the earrings well without taking attention from the necklace.

This set uses various blue and cream beads on brass wire with some gunmetal finished wire for warm accents. The necklace is strung on three single strands of colored bead string in warm gold and brown tones loosely crocheted together giving it great texture. The bangle bracelet mimics a smaller scale version of the neckalce centerpiece tying the two together seemlessly. The sides are accented with larger beads along the front sides and smaller, smooth beads on the underside for comfort.

I really enjoyed doing this set. The pendant gets a whimsical feel from the wavy pattern given to the sterling silver wire with lavender and plum swarovski crystals. The earrings are done with sterling silver wire spiraling to match the "tails" of the butterfly and adorned with swarovski crystals. The earrings also are made with hypoallergenic earwires. The pendant is 2 1/4"w and 2 3/4"h. The earrings are 1 1/4" long from the base.
